█ The attempt to publish "Heteron ½" initially looked like an impossible dream –or even an escapist dream- but became reality thanks to subsidies from the Greek Manpower Organisation for young professionals. The small team which established the magazine pooled their thoughts, concerns, feelings and worked hard to generate something candid and frank, something worth collecting, something open to diverse views and outlooks.

█ In our own way we seek to promote the past and present, to explore sources, listen to whispers that might otherwise go unheard in the storm of information and directed emotions that are all around us and are changing at such dizzying rates. We are unconcerned about just what sort of chemistry may arise from different life-stances, experiences and views which may meet and intermingle.  When we are frank and candid or when we share things that truly charm and enchant us, we have no need to worry about such things....

█ "Heteron 1/2" may be a waste bin, a store room of experiences, a display case of gallant deeds, or a bubble waiting to burst. No one knows what will happen in the abyss that is the world of publishing. Time will tell. It depends on your choices, on your response. This is a two-way game.

█  In seeking out the truth we should look for both the likely and the unlikely answers even in the most difficult of places with our antenna ever on the lookout.  For some people, true things are those which retain their memory, which never forget their origins.  Others discover truth in the divine, in a supreme being who never disagrees, never imposes his will on anyone, or controls behaviours... I agree with the dictionaries when they say for something to be true it has to be frank and candid (blunt, honest, plain), authentic (real, pure, unadulterated), and accurate (perfectly calculated, careful and clear-cut). You may be a little confused.... Truth is whatever seeks to bring joy, to mobilise us...

█ We like reading personal tales, but at the same time seeking out the flame of knowledge and the map which brought us to where we are today. Here at Heteron ½ we are interested in hearing what you have to say because the best things in life almost always start of from a shared outlook which brings us together and takes us on the journey down the river of life together.
